Chief Technology Officer, XVELA

Robert brings a wealth of expertise with nearly three decades of software development experience and more than 25 years in the container shipping industry. As Chief Technology Officer of XVELA, he leads the development of a transformative cloud-based collaboration platform for the container transportation industry. Prior to XVELA, Robert was CTO of Navis where he led the development of groundbreaking technologies including Navis N4, the global software standard for container terminal operators. Additionally, his experience includes senior positions in product management, services and software development where he worked closely with the world’s leading terminal operators.

Sumitha takes to heart the popular adage, “Vision without execution is hallucination.” She brings to the team an ideal balance of strategy, execution, and technology, TOS and business management experience. As Vice President of Operations for XVELA, Sumitha is responsible for ensuring a superior customer experience throughout the entire customer lifecycle. She and her team of passionate and highly talented individuals focus on implementing, training and supporting XVELA users. Prior to XVELA, Sumitha was part of the Navis Strategy team charting the vision of “Making global trade smarter, safer and more sustainable for everyone.” Sumitha holds an M.S. in Computer Applications and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. As Vice President of Global Sales for XVELA, Martin Bardi leads worldwide sales for the connected suite of applications from XVELA and Navis Carrier & Vessel Solutions. Prior to XVELA, he was VP and General Manager for Latin America at Navis, where he was responsible for all sales, support and professional services in the Latin American region and successfully grew the customer base from 11 terminals to over 65. With over 23 years in the container shipping industry, Martin has deep knowledge of the business, including hands-on operational experience in all phases of software and process implementation. Prior to joining Navis, Martin worked five years at the terminals in the region as a yard and ship planner and was responsible for implementing new technologies that helped to improve operational performance, safety and reduced costs.

Prior to XVELA, he was the Regional Sales Director for Navis, where he brought a fresh approach to understanding, defining and delivering Navis terminal solutions to ports in EMEA. Craig rapidly established himself as a sales and professional services leader during his eight years with Navis, winning both Top Sales Performer and Professional Services MVP awards. His efforts have resulted in the successful deployment of Navis software in countless marine, rail and inland terminals. Educated at Manchester Business School, Craig is currently based in Dubai, U.A.E.
